Feb 19, 2022 · Fallout 4 is designed to run at 60FPS and running it any faster can cause unexpected results like what you're experiencing. Make sure your FPS is capped at 60, regardless of what modern hardware you're running. You can do this in your video driver's control panel or you can try a mod called High FPS Physics Fix. Further into the quest when you get to the commhub room, it may glitch again. The inhabitants are supposed to respond to your arrival. I think there could be an element of randomness about who responds and how. For me out of 4 tries, 1 worked. It seems that the only way to complete the quest is if Captain Wes confronts you directly.
